Tower Hamlets Police

May 15th 2013

As part of our total war on crime, Metropolitan Police officers from Tower Hamlets working with Tower Hamlets local authority have been targeting those involved in Anti Social Behaviour, Youth Violence, Knife Crime, Gangs and Drugs under Operation Carbon. We are working tirelessly to prosecute criminals; we will also seek to evict those who are in breach of tenancy agreements.

Today Police units have entered a significant number of addresses within Tower Hamlets and have arrested a large number of individuals suspected of serious criminal offences. It is our intention to charge them with offences, on advice from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), and place them before local Courts.

Every area in London has a dedicated Safer Neighbourhood policing team working with and for local communities to tackle crime and safety issues. These teams have been working with specialist colleagues and partners to tackle gang crime, anti social behaviour, violence and drugs.

With your help we can make you, your family and community safer. Support us by calling the free-phone Crimestoppers number and let us know who is involved in gangs, crime, antisocial behaviour or disorder in your area .You don’t have to give your name. Safer Neighbourhood Teams, through their ongoing engagement with partners and communities, will continue to address local crime and safety concerns to help make London safer.
