Enough is enough residents tell developers

Residents at the cemetery end of Hamlets Way have three building sites around them. The Ennerdale car park (site 2a), Loweswater House (site 11) and the new Beatrice Tate School on Southern Grove. We were informed onĀ  5th July that Telfords would start work an hour earlier and finish earlier because of the Olympic predicted gridlock. This seemed at the time something we would have to put up with.

This gridlock did not happen but still well into the second week of the Olympics Telfords workers were starting up at 7.00 am. Not with quiet jobs but power tools and hammers. Today several residents had enough and confronted the builders and Eastendhomes. We understand some of the language used in response to requests to keep the noise down was not up to “Considerate Constructor” standards.
