On October the 7th 2010, Eastend Homes Leaseholders and Freeholders Association, EEHLFA signed a Recognition Agreement with EastendHomes, the first between an independent leaseholders’ organisation and an RSL in Tower Hamlets. This will provide the basis for meaningful consultation and genuine cooperation between the stakeholders.
The signing of this agreement is a hugely significant event for RSL homeowners in our borough and we expect it to pave the way for more formal cooperation between the many homeowner groups in Tower Hamlets. Homeowners are deeply worried about future regeneration plans and affordable service provision on mixed tenure estates. EEHLFA believes that a strong working relationship with the landlord is the only way to build confidence and face the challenges ahead.
In order to mark this important development, EEHLFA is hosting an event for its members that will be attended by both private and social sector leaseholder representatives from the London boroughs, by elected Members and by housing professionals.
It is important that all EastendHomes leaseholders & freeholders become members of EEHLFA.
